Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the 67 FSW points and the CRS score?
The 67-point grid is a minimum eligibility requirement to enter the Express Entry pool under the FSW program. Once in the pool, you are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) out of 1,200 points to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
What is the minimum language level required for FSW?
You must score at least a CLB 7 (Canadian Language Benchmark) in all 4 language abilities (speaking, listening, reading, writing) in English or French to qualify for FSW.
Common FSW Mistakes to Avoid
- ⚠️
Confusing FSW points with CRS score
Scoring 67/100 FSW points does not guarantee PR; it only allows you to enter the pool, where you are then ranked by your CRS score.
- ⚠️
Overestimating language test equivalents
You must map your IELTS/CELPIP/TEF scores strictly to CLB levels. An IELTS 6.0 in reading does not yield maximum language points.
